Israeli security officials believe Iran has nearly restored its entire operational ballistic missile launcher arsenal to prewar levels, while separate intelligence assessments indicate Tehran is pressuring Hezbollah to escalate its confrontation with Israel and attempt to kidnap IDF soldiers, according to reports aired by Channel 12 and Channel 14.
According to the latest security assessments, Iran currently possesses at least 400 operational ballistic missile launchers, nearly matching the approximately 420 it maintained before Operation Roaring Lion began in February. The figures indicate that Iran has made substantial progress rebuilding military capabilities targeted during months of American and Israeli strikes.
During the early stages of Operation Roaring Lion, Israeli officials reported that approximately 70% of Iran’s operational missile launchers had been rendered unusable. Roughly 150 launchers were believed to have been completely destroyed, while another 150 had been buried underground or temporarily disabled, leaving Tehran with approximately 125 operational launchers.
The latest intelligence assessments suggest Iran has successfully recovered launchers buried during the fighting and returned significant numbers to operational service. American intelligence assessments published in April had indicated that approximately half of Iran’s launchers had been destroyed, while many of the remaining systems were only partially operational.
Iran has also reportedly restored significant portions of its ballistic missile and drone production infrastructure. In recent days, Tehran has increased the pace of missile testing, raising concerns about its ability to sustain another prolonged military confrontation. (Read More)
