Iran is fighting a “four-front war,” Qalibaf tells a pro-government rally in Tehran, listing economic war, psychological war, “military war” with the United States and Israel and “today a war against terrorists.” “The great Iranian nation has never allowed the enemy to achieve its goals,” he says, flanked by the slogans “Death to Israel, Death to America” in Persian.
Activists say over 540 people have been killed in the protests in what they call a “massacre” carried out under the cover of an internet blackout. Iran has said that if the US carries out strikes, it will respond by targeting Israel as well as American military interests in the Middle East. (Source)
