In this JFEED article, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he hopes to avoid a head-on confrontation with Turkey, whose president has called for the destruction of the State of Israel. However, Israel may not be able to avoid a confrontation with Turkey, as Turkey (Gomer/Togarmah) is listed among the invading nations in Ezekiel 38:1–6.
Furthermore, Ezekiel 38:11 and 14 suggest that Israel may not be anticipating a
military threat from Turkey, as the nation is described as living in relative
peace and security when the attack occurs.
