GROWING MISSILE THREAT: Houthis Reportedly Developing Weapons to Reach Israel Using Chinese Components and Iranian Assistance

Yemen’s Houthi terrorists are reportedly working to develop medium-range ballistic missiles capable of reaching Israel and Saudi Arabia, using components purchased from a Chinese supplier and assistance from Iran.

The findings, detailed in a new report by Conflict Armament Research, indicate that the Houthis are seeking to manufacture a locally produced version of Iran’s Kheibar Shekan guided missile.

The planned weapon is expected to have a range of approximately 2,000 kilometers, potentially allowing the terrorist group to strike targets throughout Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The assessment is based on information collected by Yemeni government authorities in July, after they intercepted two shipments containing equipment intended for missile production.

The seized materials reportedly included rocket structural components, rocket engines and dual-use items that can serve both civilian and military purposes.

However, the report does not confirm that the Houthis have successfully produced or deployed such a missile.

It also remains unclear whether the Chinese government has any direct involvement in the project or control over the final destination of the components supplied by the Chinese company. (Source)
