Ethiopia receives 12 Russian Su-35 jets, plans S-400 acquisition

Ethiopia has received 12 Russian Su-35 fighter jets and will also acquire four S-400 air defence batteries, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has announced.  Abiy made the announcement on X on Wednesday during a visit to Moscow for the two-day Russia-Africa Summit, where Russia is seeking closer security and economic ties with African countries. We learned that there was a two-day Africa summit where Russia sought closer security and economic ties with African nations, including Ethiopia. At this conference on October 28, 2026, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia announced that Ethiopia had received 12 Russian Su-35 fighter jets.

Does this have anything to do with an end- time prophecy found in Ezekiel 38 involving Russia, Ethiopia and other African nations like Libya and Sudan and that they all have strong military ties with Russia?
