Israeli Assessment: Iran May Launch War Against Israel

Although the ceasefire between Israel and Iran has held so far, Israeli officials estimate that this will not last indefinitely, and that Iran is expected to initiate a rolling war against Israel, according to a report.
Despite the ceasefire still standing, Israel believes that a rolling conflict with Iran could erupt within weeks. This was reported today (Saturday) by Maariv. According to assessments both in Israel and the U.S.,the fighting is not over. Another round could break out within weeks, or the calm might last months.

However, the current tension, mistrust, and unresolved dispute over Iran’s nuclear future will not disappear on their own. Even if actors like Russia, the European Union, or Gulf states enter the equation without a binding agreement framework, the ceasefire will remain fragile. A single event, a targeted killing, terrorist attack, or unidentified strike, could reignite hostilities. Israel has already declared it will not forgo “complete freedom of action,” while Iran continues to project resilience and readiness to continue the confrontation, as well as the willingness to advance its nuclear program.

It's also important to note that although Iran is yelling about its. victory in the recent war, the entire world is quite clear about the fact that they lost, that they were both surprised and humiliated, and they aren't likely to take it lying down, even if Trump did force their hand into accepting a ceasefire.  (Read More)
