US President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a warning to Hamas, who is still holding 100 hostages in the Gaza Strip.
Speaking to reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Trump was asked by CNN’s Alayna Treene about his past comments that there will be “hell to pay” if the hostages are not returned by the time he assumes office on January 20.
"Let me put it this way: They better let the hostages come back soon," stated Trump. Trump made the comments in question in a post on his Truth Social platform last month. "Everybody is talking about the hostages who are being held so violently, inhumanely, and against the will of the entire World, in the Middle East - But it’s all talk, and no action!" Trump wrote.
