IDF says it is aiding UN forces to repel attack on post on Syrian side of Golan

The IDF says it is assisting United Nations forces on the Syrian side of the Golan Heights to repel an attack by gunmen on a UN position.

According to the IDF, a group of armed men attacked a UN post near the Syrian town of Hader, close to the Israeli border.

“The IDF is now assisting the UN force to repel the attack,” the military says. Over the weekend the IDF bolstered its forces on the border with Syria, amid the developments in the civil war. The military says it “will continue to act to protect the State of Israel and its citizens.”  (Read More)
