IAF strikes Hezbollah intelligence, combat equipment storage facilities in Beirut

Israel Air Force fighter jets conducted airstrikes in Beirut on Monday overnight targeting Hezbollah intelligence sites and storage facilities, the IDF reported.

Guided by information gathered by the IDF’s Intelligence Directorate, the IAF aircraft had struck terror targets under Hezbollah’s intelligence unit, among which was a Hezbollah intelligence command center user to gather information. Additionally, the IAF had struck the terror group's combat equipment storage facilities.

The IDF noted that during the airstrikes in Beirut, the secondary explosions that were reported suggest the presence of weapons stored under residential buildings, posing risks to local civilians, and further showcasing Hezbollah’s use of civilian infrastructure for terrorist activity.

The IDF also targeted weapons storage facilities and military buildings in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, reducing Hezbollah's ability to conduct attacks against Israel, the IDF noted.
