Minister Bezalel Smotrich responds to Hamas' threats

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded on Thursday evening to the murderous attack near Kedumim and to Hamas' threats to harm him as reflected in a tweet by the terrorist organization.

Hamas earlier tweeted a picture of Smotrich and one of its terrorists, with the wording in Hebrew, “He could’ve knocked on your door”.

"An attack with a difficult result today in Samaria. I send my deepest condolences to the family of the person who was murdered in the attack. The goal of Arab terrorism is to frighten and weaken the State of Israel, they think that with their culture of murder they will cut us off from our ancestral land. They will continue to try to hurt and we will continue to grow and take root.We will build more and more in Kedumim, in Eli, in Tel Aviv and in the young settlement," Smotrich wrote.

"The Kedumim Council is currently promoting a plan to build 1,100 housing units in the Nachalat Esther neighborhood, which is close to the site of the attack, and in response to it we will now act to speed up the planning procedures for the new neighborhood," continued Smotrich.

"After the successful operation in Jenin, we will continue to persecute all those who lay their hands on IDF soldiers and Israeli citizens, and the vile terrorists will continue to be persecuted and flee to their lairs in search of shelter," the minister concluded.
