After arriving, Milley met with his Israeli counterpart, Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, and was due to meet later with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and other top security officials.
A statement from the Israel Defense Forces said Milley and his interlocutors will discuss “regional security challenges, expanding opportunities for operational cooperation, coordinating between the militaries to protect against regional threats and other areas of mutual strategic interest.”
