Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Wednesday evening responded Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's speech in Ankara, Turkey, in which he accused Israel and the US of supporting terrorists in Syria.
"There is no end to this absurdity," Netanyahu said. "The Iranian terrorist octopus is accusing Israel of terrorism. If Rouhani is not familiar with the acts of terror and sabotage that the Al Quds Force carries out every day in Syria, Israel will be able to update him."
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani claimed earlier that Israel was part of a group of terror groups. "The United States finances the activities of ISIS in the country," he said, adding that "the Zionists are helping terrorist elements carry out attacks in Syria," he declared.
Rohani met today in Ankara with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for a summit on Syrian affairs.
