Report: IDF attacks Hezbollah position

The Al-Arabiya network reported on Sunday that Israeli Air Force planes attacked Hezbollah strongholds in the Baalbek region of eastern Lebanon near the border with Syria.

The Lebanese news website Al-Nashra also claimed that the source of the sounds of the explosions was an Israeli attack.

The Al Mayadeen network, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, denied the report.
The reports come after the appearance of the head of Military Intelligence, Major-General Herzi Halevy, at the Yedioth Ahronot conference at Binyanei Ha'uma, where he said that Hezbollah "continues to grow with strategic weapons in the arming of Iran."

"The Lebanese leadership claims that it is defending Lebanon from Israeli aggression, but Israel has no offensive intentions towards Lebanon, and the Lebanese state must think that it is one of the largest in the region and not the interests of Iran and Hezbollah," Maj-Gen. Halevy said.
