Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu opened the weekly cabinet meeting this morning, Sunday, with reference to the threats of terrorist organizations in Gaza.
"There are those who amuse themselves with attempts to attack Israel. We will deal harshly with anyone who tries to attack us, in any region. I mean every cause and every person," Netanyahu declared.

"We see Hamas responsible for every attack emanating from the Gaza Strip against us," the Prime Minister added.
Netanyahu referred to the announcement by the Islamic Jihad terror group, which was issued following the warning of the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, Major General Yoav Mordechai, that a possible response by the organization to the bombing of the terror tunnel in Gaza two weeks ago would be met with “force and determination.”

On Sunday, Islamic Jihad officials said they were not afraid of Israel, asserting that they “have the ability and tools to strike" it.
“The threats of the Occupation are the result of fear and worry about the response of Jihad and the Opposition,” they claimed.
They said that Israeli threats against Islamic Jihad leadership were "a declaration of war" against which they would act.
"These are threats which expose Israel's belligerent intentions. We again emphasize our right to respond to any belligerence, including the destruction of the tunnel."
