Alternate Prime Minister and Defense Minister Benny Gantz has instructed IDF Chief of Staff Major General Aviv Kochavi to accelerate IDF preparations for diplomatic measures underway in Judea and Samaria.
Gantz also updated the Chief of Staff about progress in the political arena.
In addition, the Defense Minister intends to appoint a project manager in the coming days to deal with coordinating the necessary moves in this arena.
An integrated team will also be set up in the Ministry to coordinate operational recommendations regarding ongoing moves in Judea, Samaria, and Gaza.
Recently, PA threats have intensified about their possible response to Israel's stated plan of applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria. Palestinian Authority Chairman Abbas has cancelled all agreements with Israel and the United States and suspended security coordination.
In Israel, the implications of Abbas' declarations are being analyzed, and preparations are being made for more radical measures by the Palestinian Authority, despite the belief that Abbas is not capable of making true on his threats.
