The United States Department of Defense announced that Boeing was granted an a $8.6 billion defense contract for the F-15 Israel Program in a press release detailing Pentagon contracts published early Tuesday morning. The firm-fixed-price contract will provide funding for “design, integration, instrumentation, test, production, and delivery of 25 new F-15IA aircraft for the Israeli Air Force,” according to the release.
The option for the production of 25 additional F-15IA fighter jets is also available under the announced contract. Work on the project is set to take place in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to be completed in the next ten years by December 31, 2035.
In mid-December, the Pentagon similarly announced a $12.93 million contract with Colt’s Manufacturing Company to produce arms for the Israeli military. The Colt Manufacturing contract funds will be used to produce M4A1 carbine rifles and related equipment in West Hartford, Connecticut. The project is set to be completed by June 30, 2026. (Source)
