Hamas has started stockpiling weapons in African countries, Yemen, and other nations sympathetic to the terrorist organization, Israeli public broadcaster KAN News reported on Sunday. The report follows the implementation of the US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, which stipulates the disarmament of the latter. According to Kan, the weapons are being stockpiled so that they can later be smuggled to locations, including the Gaza Strip, where Hamas can access them.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council is set to vote on Monday on a draft resolution it had seen last week regarding the multinational force expected to deploy to the Gaza Strip. Hamas has refused to commit to giving up its weapons. Last month, Hamas politburo member Mohammed Nazzaltold Reuters that he could not give an answer on whether or not the terror group would do so. "I can't answer with a yes or no,” Nazzal said. “Frankly, it depends on the nature of the project. The disarmament project you're talking about, what does it mean?
