The IDF has inaugurated a new training complex in the Golan Heights designed to realistically simulate combat conditions on Israel’s northern border, marking a major step in preparing for a potential future war with Hezbollah.
The IDF has unveiled a state-of-the-art training facility in the Golan Heights, a complex specifically designed to prepare soldiers for combat in Lebanon. The new "Lebanon Facility" was established at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense to meet the operational needs of the northern front. It allows infantry, armor, and engineering units to conduct combined training with live fire in a highly realistic urban and rural environment.
A General Staff training workshop was held last week to inaugurate the facility. The event was led by the National Ground Training Center in cooperation with the Commando School, engineering and armor battalions, reservists from Brigade 551, and the Air Force. Senior commanders, including Major General Nadav Lotan, Commander of the Ground Forces, and Major General Rafi Milo, Commander of the Northern Command, were present. (Read More)
