Hamas Visits Egypt To Negotiate Ceasefire

s says that it sent a senior delegation to negotiate a ceasefire that would end the war in Gaza. Hamas just released the following statement today (Tuesday) regarding continuing efforts to reach a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip: "At a generous invitation from Egypt, a Hamas leadership delegation headed by Dr. Khalil al-Hayya arrived in Cairo to hold talks with Egyptian officials about recent developments related to the war of extermination in Gaza and about the general situation in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

"Taher al-Nunu, Hamas leader in Cairo, declared that the delegation began preliminary talks ahead of the meetings, which will begin tomorrow, Wednesday. These talks will focus on ways to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, allow the entry of aid and put an end to the suffering of our people in Gaza. They will also focus on internal Palestinian relations in order to reach a national consensus on all political issues, as well as bilateral relations with our brothers in Egypt and ways to develop them. 

"Al-Nunu praised Egypt's efforts on all the previous issues under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and emphasized that relations with Egypt are solid and strong, and that joint work on various issues has not ceased." (Read More)
