In Turkey, the export to Israel will be limited in 54 categories including cement, aluminum, steel, and chemical pesticides.
Ankara officially announced that the restrictions will be effective until a ceasefire in the Strip.
The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said in a press conference that, "We have decided to take a series of steps against Israel in this case. These measures, approved by our President, will be implemented step by step, and without delay. They will be shared with the public by our relevant institutions."
"Even the UN Security Council, which has maintained silence until now, said that Israel needs to declare a ceasefire," he added.
The Israeli decision to prevent Turkey from transferring humanitarian aid came in response to its criticism of Israel.
In the past, Erdogan called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "Hitler," and said that Israel is "a state of terror that commits genocide."
It should be noted that while Erdogan sharply criticizes Israel, his son, a businessman, exports goods to Israel.
