The Prime Minister's office stated that he expressed his displeasure with the positions of Russian representatives at the UN and other international forums against Israel.
"The Prime Minister expressed strong criticism of the dangerous cooperation between Russia and Iran. He emphasized that any country that would suffer a criminal terrorist attack like the one experienced by Israel would act with no less force than Israel has.
However, Netanyahu told Putin that he appreciated the Russian effort to free an Israeli citizen who also holds Russian citizenship and asked for his country's assistance in pressuring the Red Cross so that it would be possible to visit the hostages held captive by Hamas and transfer life-saving medicines to them.
Last week, the International Committee of the Red Cross contacted Roni and Simona, the parents of Doron Steinbrecher, one of the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas, to tell them to"think about the Palestinian side" due to the bombings of the IAF, Kan News reported.
The Red Cross has refused to attempt to provide Steinbrecher and other Israeli hostages with their medication and has not visited a single one of the 240 hostages who were kidnapped on October 7.
