Following missile barrages on the Upper Galilee and Western Galilee on Thursday morning, the IDF estimates that approximately 50 rockets were fired towards Israel, and that six were intercepted.
Hezbollah has taken responsibility for the barrage. Later reports said that Hezbollah claimed to have fired 48 Katyusha missiles at Israel.
It is estimated that this is the heaviest barrage from Lebanon since Hamas attacked Israel on October 7.
IDF forces are attacking the source of the fire.
There are no reports of injuries as a result of the missiles.
Earlier on Thursday, the IDF reported that several launches were identified from Lebanon toward Israeli territory, and that artillery struck the sources of the launches.
In addition, an IDF aircraft identified an anti-tank missile cell near the area of Zar'it in northern Israel and targeted the cell. In parallel, IDF artillery also targeted the cell.
On Wednesday night, a surface-to-air missile was launched toward IDF aircraft in Lebanon. The missile was successfully intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array. In response, IDF aircraft struck the launcher and a weapons storage post.
