A just released book and DVD by author Bill Salus predicts a major war between Israel and its neighbors including Hamas. The Future War Prophecies identifies four prophecies that identify an epic conflict between Hamas and Israel. These foretellings go well beyond the general skirmishes between these Palestinians and Israelis.
These four prophecies are identified
below and deal with Hamas and the Gaza area by the historic names known to the
prophets. These unfulfilled prophecies are summarized and presented in a logical
sequential order below.
“But they, (the Israeli Air Force)
shall fly down upon the shoulder of the Philistines, (Hamas), toward the
west; Together they shall plunder the people of the East; They shall lay
their hand on Edom, (Southern Jordan), and Moab; (Central Jordan), And the
people of Ammon, (Northern Jordan) shall obey them.” (Isaiah 11:14,
NKJV; emphasis added)
Firstly, around
700 BC, Isaiah predicts that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will fly over
the Hamas in a war scenario.
“Thus says
the Lord God: “Because the Philistines dealt vengefully and took vengeance
with a spiteful heart, to destroy because of the old hatred,” therefore
thus says the Lord God: “I will stretch out My
hand against the Philistines, (Hamas), and I will cut off
the Cherethites and destroy the remnant of the (Mediterranean)
seacoast. I will execute great vengeance on them with furious
rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I
lay My vengeance upon them.” ’ ”(Ezekiel 25:15-17, NKJV; emphasis added)
Secondly, about one hundred years after
Isaiah’s prophecy, Ezekiel explains how Hamas has harbored an “old hatred”
of Israel, which is why they launch a massive attack against Israel. The Lord
promises to levy furious rebukes against these Palestinians because of this. In
context with the prior passage in Ezekiel 25:12-14, it appears that these
rebukes will be executed by the IDF.
“For Gaza shall be forsaken, And Ashkelon desolate; They, (the
IDF), shall drive out Ashdod at noonday, And Ekron shall be uprooted. Woe
to the inhabitants of the (Mediterranean)
seacoast, The nation of the Cherethites! The word of the Lord is against you, O Canaan, land of the
Philistines: “I will destroy you; So there shall be no inhabitant.” The (Mediterranean) seacoast shall be
pastures, With shelters for shepherds and folds for flocks. The
coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; (Israel),
They shall feed their flocks there; In the houses of Ashkelon
they shall lie down at evening. For the Lord their God will intervene for them,
And return their captives.” (Zephaniah 2:4-7, NKJV; emphasis added)
Thirdly, Zephaniah informs of the
end results. Say “goodbye Hamas” as “there
shall be no inhabitant” left. Instead the Israelis will capture the
territory and use it to “feed their flocks there.” This is the
result of “the Lord their
God will intervene for them.”
“They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a
nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For
they have consulted together with one consent; They form a confederacy
against You: The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab and the Hagrites; Gebal,
Ammon, and Amalek Philistia, (Hamas
in Gaza), with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot. Selah” (Psalm 83:4-8, NKJV;
emphasis added)
(See map below to identify the Psalm 83 populations today).
Lastly, the prophet and psalmist
Asaph, tells us that the Hamas ultimately enlist in an Arab confederacy that
wants to wipe Israel off of the map. This is ultimately what brings about the
end of Hamas.
