Jordanian media sources are reporting that fighter jets, apparently Jordanian, attacked a purification plant near the town of Kharab al-Shaham, in the suburbs of Daraa in southern Syria, early Monday morning.
According to Kan News, local activists reported on social media networks that the target of the attack was a purification plant containing a drug manufacturing plant, which is overseen by Hezbollah terrorists.
Jordan has vowed in the past to combat drug smugglers using the Hashemite kingdom as a smuggling route for the export of narcotics.
The incident comes just three days after Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi announced that his country backs Syria's return to the Arab League.
