Analysis: How Iran is working to destroy Israel from within

With all eyes on the Iranian encroachment on Israel’s border with Syria, certain recent developments reveal the Islamic Republic is also trying to destroy Israel from within.
First, there is the renewed rocket fire on the south of Israel which is, in fact, an Iranian attempt to trigger a new war between Hamas and the Jewish state.

As Arutz 7 reported at the end of December 2017, Qassem Soleimani the commander of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), recently contacted Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar with an offer to “provide the Palestinian people with all the means at the IRGC's disposal in the struggle for Jerusalem.”

The Quds Force of the IRGC is the division which operates outside of Iran and Soleimani has virtually overseen every major battle in Syria and Iraq in the past few years despite a travel ban imposed on him by the UN Security Council.

On Wednesday, Israel announced via unofficial channels that Islamic Jihad, a Palestinian terror organization backed and funded by Iran, was behind the renewed rocket fire from Gaza.

The announcement came after three mortar shells were fired from Gaza which, happily, landed in open fields.

Last Saturday, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman told TV Channel 2 in Israel that Iran was behind the flare-up in rocket and mortar fire emanating from Gaza.

On Friday last week, after a new rocket barrage from Gaza, the IDF Spokesmen Office issued a statement which said that the fire “proved once again that Iran, through rogue and extremist terrorist organizations, is acting to bring about a deterioration in the regional situation.”

The statement furthermore said that Iran “is playing with the lives of the Gazan residents that could lead the strip to an escalation after years of quiet on the security front.” READ MORE
