MK: Today's attack a 'dangerous escalation' in terror

Azaria (Kulanu) responded on Friday morning to the terror attack in Jerusalem.
Three terrorists descended from the Temple Mount, and shot at Israeli policemen who they saw near the Old City's Lions Gate. Two of the officers are severely wounded and one is moderately wounded.

"Today's terror attack represents a serious and dangerous escalation," Azaria said. "I send my appreciation to the Israel Police officers and the Border Police officers, who protect us day and night - whether they are stationed at the Mahane Yehuda market and the city's center, or in the Old City, the Western Wall, and the Temple Mount."

"These are the people who allow tourists and worshipers to arrive and leave in peace.
"I trust that the security forces will continue to do their job faithfully, as they have done until now, so that life in Jerusalem can continue as normal. The city has been through difficult periods, and a victory over terror means continuing to visit Jerusalem.

"I wish the victims of the attack a speedy recovery." READ MORE
