The Daily Star reports the footage is believed to have been taken from a live NASA stream and has now been pored over by people on YouTube after being uploaded by user Streetcap1.
It appears to show two flashing lights travelling in the background of the footage.
World-renowned NASA scientist William Borucki said last year that years of research has found evidence of millions of planets in our galaxy, but no evidence of intelligent alien life.
