Hezbollah is broke thanks to US sanctions, says official

Obama's sanctions czar is putting a liberal spin on the effectiveness of the former sanctions against Iran. Adam Szubin was appointed by Obama to this position in April of 2015. This appointment was strategic. Obama needed to spin the Iranian nuclear deal, which was completed in the summer of 2015, and so he appointed Szbuin for this purpose. Please realize this when your read this article. Hezbollah has 150,000 missiles thanks to Iran. They pose a serious threat to Israel and the Mideast region.

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Non-nuclear U.S. sanctions against Iran and its allies have led to Hezbollah being in “its worst financial shape in decades,” the top sanctions enforcement official told Congress.

“After many years of sanctions targeting Hezbollah, today the group is in its worst financial shape in decades,” Adam Szubin, the acting Treasury undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence told the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee on Wednesday. “And I can assure you that, alongside our international partners, we are working hard to put them out of business.” READ MORE
